Nancy Mace “became a fierce critic” of Donald Trump after the Jan. 6, 2021, protest at the U.S. Capitol:

Nancy Mace said to CNN that  Trump’s “entire legacy was wiped out yesterday. And we’ve got to start over.” 1
Nancy Mace tweeted, “Everything Republicans have been working for over the last 4 years was absolutely shattered…we’re going to have to start all over again.” 2
She told The State newspaper she no longer believed in Trump.3 And when she was asked whether she believed Trump has a future in the Republican Party, Mace told Fox News, “I do not.” 4

Nancy Mace allegedly wanted to become the “face of anti-Trump Republicans…”

“Mace was so angry at Trump during the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol that she discussed with aides the prospect of confronting the rioters so she could get punched and become the face of anti-Trump Republicans, according to former staffers familiar with the incident, who spoke on the condition of anonymity out of fear of retribution.” 5

Nancy Mace called President Trump “dangerous to our nation” and considered supporting removing him from office:

“Freshman Congresswoman Nancy Mace of South Carolina called Trump’s rhetoric ‘dangerous to our nation’ and was asked whether she would support removing him through the 25th Amendment or impeachment. “‘Anything presented to me, I will look at the facts and make that decision,’ Mace said.”

Nancy Mace considered censuring President Trump so that Congress could “one, hold the president accountable for his words and his actions and two, also prohibit from holding office again in the future.”

Rep. Nancy Mace: “Well, one of the things, one of the options that was on the table last week when we were going through the impeachment, getting up to D.C. for that, was that there was a bicameral, bipartisan effort to look at censure as an option. That would one, hold the president accountable for his words and his actions and two, also prohibit from holding office again in the future.” 6
On the Jan. 10, 2021, edition of CNN Newsroom, when asked if she thought Donald Trump should be punished by the U.S. House of Representatives for the events of Jan. 6, 2021, Nancy Mace answered, “I really want to be thoughtful of that, but I support censure, I support anyway that we can hold our president accountable…” 7

Nancy Mace supported investigating President Trump:

“‘I think it’s very important that we hold everybody accountable,’ Mace said, ‘and I hope that people are investigated to the fullest extent of the law, from the president on down.’” 8

Nancy Mace voted with Liz Cheney to hold Steve Bannon in contempt of Congress

“Nine House Republicans broke ranks Thursday to join all Democrats in voting to hold Steve Bannon in contempt of Congress for defying a subpoena from the select committee investigating the January 6 attack on the US Capitol…Rep.
